GRASMERE TO PATTERDALE ( GLENRIDDING )

First of all, thanks to all those who are following, especially those leaving comments. Please feel free to click on comments at the bottom of each blog and leave yours. So it's a big hello to Simon and Twix.
Today was the worst day yet. Rain and rain and rain. It doesn't bother me too much but these humans, THE WEAKER SPECIES, suffer.
This is where we are heading today. Seat Sandal ( 2415ft ) on the far left. Fairfield ( 2865 ft ) on the far right. That green mound in the valley between is Great Tongue, that's where we are walking.
Onwards and upwards, following the river of Tongue Gill.
But beware the clouds seem a little low.
By the time we reach Grisedale Tarn, a sheet of water formed in a natural bowl between hills at 1768 ft, very high, it's chucking it down. However, while I'm here, a quick dip. I must be the highest swimming dog in the country.
Then it's on to Glenridding by the beautiful Ullswater for a day's R & R with the DENBIERS.
